Black Men Friends Group (BMFG)

In 2022, in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, a simple idea sparked the beginning of something extraordinary.

Founded by Quincy E. Winston, the Black Men Friends Group (BMFG) began as a small gathering of professional Black men seeking genuine friendship, meaningful conversation, and authentic connection. What started as casual meetups among a handful of like-minded professionals quickly revealed a deeper need within the community.

The men discovered that despite their achievements, careers, education, and ambitions, many shared a common reality: the absence of intentional spaces where Black men could connect, support one another, and grow together.

Recognizing this need, they set out to engineer more than a social circle. They set out to build a brotherhood.

Using Meetup as their first platform, the group expanded from a casual network of friends into a thriving social club, then into a community-building organization.

 As membership grew, so did its purpose, influence, and vision. BMFG evolved into a structured movement dedicated to strengthening the lives of Black men through friendship, accountability, mentorship, and collective advancement.

Today, BMFG continues its journey growing beyond a club into a dynamic organization committed to empowering Black men and transforming communities.

The story of BMFG is still being written.

What began as a small gathering of friends in Phoenix has become a growing movement of men committed to redefining what brotherhood looks like in the modern era.

Professionally, celebrate their culture, and support one another through mentorship, shared experiences, and community engagement. BMFG exists to demonstrate a simple but powerful truth: When Black men heal, grow, and rise together, entire communities thrive.

Modern research consistently confirms what BMFG has believed since its founding: meaningful friendships and strong social bonds are essential to a man's success and well-being.
